Provincial Nominee Program
Every province or territory in Canada has its immigration programs to meet the needs of that province.
Provincial programs in Canada exist for a variety of programs, and individuals are required to meet the eligibility requirements of the Provincial program and also the federal admissible requirements. Provincial Nominee Programs are a two-step process that involves an application to the province or territory to obtain a Provincial Nominee Certificate and finalization by IRCC for Permanent Residence.
Some Provincial Nominee Programs give applicants the opportunity to apply for a work permit prior to obtaining Permanent Residence.
