Enpress Entry
The Express Entry system is a management system for the Federal economic programs Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
Each program has its own eligibility criteria and applicants must be eligible under one of the programs in order to apply for Permanent Residence under Express Entry. The Express Entry system enters Candidates into a pool in which they are ranked against each other and are given a Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) based on their factors (age, education, work experience etc.). IRCC does selections at least twice a month inviting candidates in the Express Entry Pool submit their application for Permanent Residence.
Applicants under the Express Entry can also be accompanied by their immediate family members (spouses and children) which means adding them to the Permanent Residence application or they can sponsor their family members to Canada after they become Permanent Residents. In addition, under the Federal Skill Worker Program (FSW) and Federal Skilled Trades (FST) applicants are required to show that they have sufficient funds to support themselves and they family members when they move to Canada.
